The IPA’s CPD scheme encourages agencies to provide development opportunities for staff, across departments and disciplines. It has now been announced that we have been awarded IPA CPD Gold accreditation! That’s four years on the trot which means we’re one of the few Platinums in London. We’re one proud agency right now.
To just call the submission big would be an understatement. It’s a beast. I remember going to a workshop at the IPA’s grand offices in Belgravia back in October without any idea about what the submission was all about and what I had let myself in for. As the hours rolled by, feelings of fear and dread grew as Gwyn March, the IPA Head of CPD, talked through the seemingly endless list of requirements.
The workshop itself was a mix of submission first-timers like me, and seasoned pros who had been through the process many times before. Fortunately I was able to call on the support of our Managing Partner Katy and Managing Director Sharon who (I hope they won’t mind me saying!) fall into the seasoned pros category and they were invaluable from the off. And the countless FCB Inferno-istas who wrote case studies, proof read copy, designed, art directed and printed the book and built the microsite also made the whole thing possible. Thanks guys!
The good news was our agency story in 2014 was an exciting and incredible one. The merge of Draftfcb and Inferno, and the monumental efforts that were made to blend two agencies into one provided the ideal basis to work from and the submission fell into place.
What we had achieved by the end 2014 meant that we had a great case for Gold. In Gwyn’s own words in our report, “the agency has had a fantastic first year post the merger, and there is certainly compelling evidence that the agency culture and training programmes paid off with strong business momentum.”
Well done us! Gold bunnies all round, obviously.
